How should
people see you?

This is about your safety at real-world events. You can switch anytime.

Public Recommended
Everyone sees your real name and photos.
Private
Friends see the real you. Strangers see a random nickname, fresh for every event, that can't be traced back to you or to your other events.
What strangers see PER EVENT
D DrunkBeaver67
A different name at the next event. The two can't be linked.
You can change this anytime. Built for staying safe at real-world events.

Notes. Privacy is binary and relative to friendship: a friend always sees the real person, a stranger always sees the mask. The alias is minted fresh at Join, is unique within its event, and is permanent inside it. The profile↔alias mapping is encrypted at the application layer — the key never touches the database, so it is never inside a backup.
